San Diego Music Awards nominee The Beard and the Bird, AKA Jon and Cat, have been performing together since 2021, pairing their unique style of Western swing with influences of Bob Wills and Django Rhinehardt. Their musical genres span from 1920’s western swing to modern pop/folk with a Rockabilly twist, with both Jon and Cat starting their musical careers in their small-town’s punk scene.They appear regularly at venues throughout Southern California and on the East Coast around Buffalo, New York.
